12/28/2023 0 Comments Tumblr girl crying![]() I have a spare in the back of my car, she’s a clumsy driver, so I come to her rescue.” “No need! My wife drives with the same set of tires. I was actually just hoping to get a ride into town?” “Uh sure go ahead, it’s a flat tire though and I don’t have a spare, not much to do about it really. “I see, mind if I take a look?” He says and before you can respond he’s already headed toward the tilt of your car. He wore a cap and as he stood up you notice he’s pretty tall too. You couldn’t read it very well in the dark however. A gentleman of a heavier set is the driver, wearing a work shirt with a fancy embroidered patch for his name. You wave one arm casually, illustrating you’re not in distress but you could use the help. In the distance you see headlights, you watch them as they come further towards you, and you begin to make out the shape of a cute little sedan. You pull out a cig, flick your lighter and take a drag. You take up the opportunity to stargaze, calmed and soothed by the sounds of crickets, but also silence. You turn your car on accessory, and listen to some tunes on your iPod. You figure what’s the harm in someone at least driving you into town. There was no one in sight, but the road wasn’t always commonly empty. You glance at the hazard lights on your car before flicking them on. Everyone, friends, family, was asleep and you could stand to just sleep in your car for ONE night. Your best option was to just camp out in the car for the night. It was a long walk home, but it was late at night, were talking 12-2 am in the morning. You lived in rural country, roads here and there but poorly maintained, a street lamp maybe every 2 miles, maybe four. That tire was a donut, you hadn’t had the time to go out and buy a new one with work up your ass. That thought slides through your mind as a pothole takes your tire out. The night just goes from bad to worse doesn’t it?
